Wood Construction Impulse Day Wood & General Assembly

On Friday 01 September 2023, the timber construction industry met for the Wood Impulse Day and the General Assembly in Lucerne. Hansjörg Steiner, Central President of Holzbauschweiz welcomed 350 attendees. The theme of this year's Wood Impulse Day was wood as a resource, and personalities from the wood industry and politics had their say. Daniel Tschopp was one of the panelists.

Daniel Tschopp, co-owner of Tschopp Holzindustrie, showed how his company stimulates the supply with wood products. The company processes exclusively Swiss wood. He urgently addressed those present: "Are you prepared to rely on Swiss wood whenever possible?" Daniel Tschopp expressed his conviction that more Swiss wood could be processed and made available with an open, cooperative approach.

The participants on the panel agreed that in order to use more of our country's wood, the dialogue with those interested in the forest must be promoted and improved. The annual meeting of the "Hölzigen" is also a platform for exchange, getting to know each other and a pleasant get-together.
